I have been a member of First Pres Arlington for the past 10 years.  I was raised in Arizona in Methodist and Presbyterian churches.  After spending most of my adult life in Texas in Baptist churches, one day I drove by the church on South Collins – that I had passed literally thousands of times – and something just tugged at me.  I looked at the web site and thought that really sounds like a church home, and there I was, back to my Presbyterian roots.  FPCA proved to be just what I had been missing.
As a member of Worship Team I love helping with Communion preparation and usher coordination, and as they say, other duties as assigned.  I have participated in occasional special projects like a pastor search committee or Bride’s Room renovation, and served as an Elder.  I am a member of the Loose Ends class where some very special people inspire me as we study God’s Word.  The Lord has walked with me every day and carried me through some tough times, and my greatest hope is that the joy I get from my relationship with Jesus would show in my words and actions and make a difference in someone’s life.
My son’s family lives in Mansfield so I get to see my two grandsons often.  I look forward to the opportunity of serving as a Deacon at FPCA.
