Kids Beach Club

“How, then, can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ’How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10: 14-15
Kids Beach Club is an after school Bible Club for children in 3rd to 6th grades. Kids Beach Club usually meets once a week for an hour and usually meets for 12 weeks each semester. FPCA started a Kids Beach Club at Blanton Elementary in the spring of 2012. Since we started mid-semester, we only met for 7 weeks. We started with 12 kids and ended the semester with 28 kids. Beach Club began again in September and had an average of 50 kids attending in the fall.
We also started a Kids Beach Club at Crow Elementary in the fall of 2012. Attendance at Crow has been 50 to 70 kids a week. It has been exciting to listen to the kids talk about the lessons that they are learning, hear them recite their memory verses, and see them treasure their Bibles. We give a Bible away at each Beach Club. Kids are often asking if they can have a Bible. When they get one, it becomes a treasure they take with them to school to read at lunchtime or follow along during Beach Club. One teacher told a student to ask for a Bible so that he could practice his reading and improve his English.
